CLUBWIDE PITCHING RESOURCE - Hillary Allen

Hillary serves as the Witches clubwide pitching coach.  She was a Drexel Dragon with highlights of her career including but not limited to First Team All-CAA honors as pitcher/designated player and her her 92 strikeouts on the 2011 season were the most for a Dragon since 2005.  She was a three-year starting pitcher at Bordentown High, a two-time All-Conference , All-Area selection and First Team All-South Jersey after  her junior year. as well as being named the team’s Most Valuable Player with throwing three perfect games in high school and four no-hitters. 

 

CLUBWIDE PITCHING TRAINER - Kaley Wise

Kaley, the manager of Witches 14 Black, pitched for her HS team, leading the team to the Group III State Championships.  She continued pitching at Mercer Community College where she was named an All American and helped to bring the team to the DII JUCO World Series.  She later played at Chestnut Hill College where he holds the reord for wins in a single season.

 

CLUBWIDE CATCHING TRAINER - Meghan McDonald

Meg, the manager of the Witches 14U Futures team, was offered an athletic scholarship by the University of Maryland in 2007, but chose to attend Stockton College instead.  Before her playing career began there, she underwent career-ending hip surgery.  Prior to college, Meghan was the starting catcher for Bordentown Regional High School for four years where she earned “player of the week” accolades multiple times, broke the record for most hits in a season, and led her team to back to back NJ Central Group II championships in 2006 and 2007.  Meghan was named “Female Athlete of the Year” during her senior year at Bordentown.

Meg played travel ball with the West Jersey Witches from 1999 until 2005, then one year with the Jersey Monsters before returning to the Witches for the 2006-07 season.  Meghan was a catcher and shortstop.  At Stockton, Meghan stayed involved in softball, serving as a team manager for the spring season.

Meghan currently is a teaching assistant for a private special needs school, and is taking classes to become a special needs teacher.

 

CLUBWIDE HITTING INSTRUCTOR - Keith Henry

Keith has coached softball for over 10 years, including 4 years at the Gold level for two different softball programs. He has also been a private hitting instructor for over 3 years, coaching players who have played at the Division I, II, and III levels. This is Keith’s first year as the Hitting Instructor for the Witches organization. Through his experiences, Keith has gained a lot of knowledge regarding proper hitting techniques, with a strong focus on identifying and correcting the root cause of hitters’ swings rather than the side effects. He works with hitters to develop an effective swing that feels natural for them rather than forcing a “cookie cutter” swing, increasing their confidence and success at the plateKeith has coached softball for over 10 years, including 4 years at the Gold level for two different softball programs.
